Relaxed south coast lifestyle in a very central location! Stretch out by the sea with our well behaved energetic 18 month old Alaskan Malamute in our large, well appointed yet low-maintenance 5 bedroom 3 bathroom house on the hill. Tickle the ivories on my baby grand piano if you play, and take advantage of our two BBQs to eat outdoors under the umbrella. Only 5 minutes off the M1, we are 5 mins' drive from the beach and the brand new Shell Cove Waterfront marina development, and 2 mins from the large Stockland Shellharbour Square shopping centre. Only 25 mins' drive north to Wollongong's many good restaurants, 45 mins to the Royal National Park and (and Heathcote), and only 90 mins south of the Sydney CBD. Or explore the south coast and surrounds ... we're less than 10 minutes from Kiama and it's only 90 mins to Mollymook, under an hour to Moss Vale in the Southern Highlands, and less than 2.5 hrs to Canberra. Our place overlooks a 100-hectare bush reserve with hiking trails in it you can take the dog on, and you can see the sea from both our front and back yards. You have use of our cars whilst we're away, and there are also very regular (ie, hourly) trains from nearby Oak Flats into Sydney. We have gardeners and cleaners come in fortnightly so there is very little maintenance required from you other than the dog's 2+ walks a day and his other activities.

Pets & farm animals

1 Alaskan Malamute who is extremely dog (and people) social and needs 2 good walks a day, and a couple of days a week at local dog parks and dog beaches. He goes to doggy daycare for dog fun every Friday in Wollongong. He is fed meat in the morning and dry food at night. We would leave money and detailed food and exercise instructions along with dog park and dog beach locations. And a glossary for the large number of words and phrases he knows.<br />Housesitters who do not need to be in an office from 9 to 5 every day, but who are home or work from home most of the time are preferred as this is what he is used to (being a COVID puppy with a mum who works from home 100% of the time). If you are retired, even better! Note he has never lived with another dog and although very social, trialling this would probably not be a good idea.

House Tasks

Feed dog twice a day and walk him twice a day at least. Keep him entertained ... he loves to play.<br />Start and run cars at least once a week.<br />Vacuum dog fur as needed (we only vac once a week, as the cleaners come once a fortnight).<br />Other than that, relax and enjoy!
