Hello! We have a 3 bedroom unit in Carnegie, only 10 minutes walk from koornang road shops and 5 minutes from the 67 tram terminal that we would like to be housesat whilst we go to qld from 18th September (leave in the AM) until 2nd October 2025 (arrive back PM)

Our unit is at the end of the a long driveway so it is very quiet. There is parking for 1 car on the driveway, otherwise there is onstreet parking. We have a backyard and garage (not available for use), wifi is included and freeview TV. We have cooling and heating. There are loads of cafes in Carnegie with the closest by the tram stop, there are also fitness and gyms in carnegie along with a public library and lots of restaurants. Close to Chadstone shopping centre and Southlands, 10 min and 15 min drive respectively. There is also a bus route to Chadstone and Brighton 5 minutes walk away. Carnegie has a train station connected to the city lines.

Pets & farm animals

We have 2 cats, Kingsley (M, Devon rex, demanding, assertive), Bacon (F, mixed breed, shy, affectionate) and 6 chickens. Both cats are used to having me at home, and like to come and see what you're doing, sitting on your lap or being played with. They are strictly indoor cats, <br />though Kingsley will try and sneak out the smallest gap in the backdoor. They are used to sleeping on the bed with us. They need feeding twice a day and cleaning out the litter tray (checked once a day and full clean once a week).<br />Our chickens have personality, they need to be let out of their coop in the morning to roam in their fenced off area, this is usually 7.30am. They need the tray of their coop spot cleaned (poo taken out), their water checked and food topped up as required in the morning and they love scraps from the kitchen for morning tea! You will get to enjoy fresh eggs throughout your stay. We usually check on them a few times a day, maybe give them some seed. At night we lock them away at 5.30pm (depending on sunset) to keep them safe from foxes. This is essential, even if you go out for the night they need to be locked in their coop with water and food before so that they are safe when night falls.

House Tasks

Usual care of the house, keeping clean and tidy, collection of the mail. Putting out of any rubbish and recycling if necessary.
