Due to our sitter (my sister) having to cancel due to unforseen reasons, we are hoping to find a reliable, trustworthy and delightful housesitter (s) to mind our home at the end of October for just over two weeks. The sitting job is at our little country cottage in Cygnet TAS and this time of year is a beautiful part of the world. We are actually pretty close to the township (5 min drive) with all its amenities (IGA, Bakeries, Pubs, Art Galleries etc) - oh and great pizza. We are on around 2 acres with plenty of space for ball throwing activities or simply chilling on the deck with a glass of wine overlooking the beautiful valley. We have a greenhouse and fresh veggies (well spring harvest). We have all the comforts to make your time cozy - comfy bed / fire / heat pump / wifi / around 5 streaming services / a big study if you need to do some work from home. Our two dogs (we also have free range chickens but they take care of themselves) are well behaved for the most part unless they are not walked or had the ball thrown daily then they start to come and demand pats. They hang around inside whilst my wife works from home but generally can only be left for say 6 hours at a time at home whilst no one is here. They love a snuggle on the couch and are pretty affectionate. We also have two lovely cats who are friendly and mainly sleep and/or sit in the sun outside. We have a spare van which we may be able to make available for usage if need be. We will be in Thailand for this period, but contactable.
