I am looking for a sitter for my 2 cats. Lubeck is a Russian blue and is 5 years old and Houdini is just over a year old. He is a maine coon Tuxedo cross specimen. Both are rescue cats . They are indoor dwellers. There is cat netting enclosing the balcony making the unit escape proof. Both enjoy going for a walk (on a lead) around the interior of the complex. I take them in the morning and evening for about 15 minutes at a time. Lubeck is independent and definitely not a lap cat. Inquisitive and confident with a mischievous streak at times. He is a sweet boy who came with anxiety issues when I first got him from a rescue organization. He has learned to relax and is mostly calm now. He has a special blanket he walks around with if he gets anxious. He likes a quiet environment and prefers being around one person. Houdini was a stray and is timid around new people . Once he gets to know you he is very friendly and chatty. He loves to play and is very curious. He is clever and opens drawers and doors . Both are well set in their routine. They like to wake up early and are used to being feed and walked before 7 am. If you are an early riser you will fit in well . The unit is near the New Farm cinema. 5 min walk to Howard Smith wharf, 20-minute walk along the river to the city and close to the shops both Merthyr village and James Street. There are bus stops outside the front of the complex. The ferry is a 5 minute walk away. The unit itself is at the back of the block so it is quiet. It’s a one-bedroom place (70 sq m). It has a bathtub and a small balcony. It's a fabulous location close to weekend markets, galleries and restaurants. I have a few pot plants that will need watering twice a week as well. Please be aware that the apartment is on the first floor and there are some stairs. The cat’s veterinarian clinic is located across the road. Please note also this is a non-smoking complex. As for anything else please feel free to ask me.

Pets & farm animals

Keep Lubeck and Houdini company, feeding them , providing fresh water and cleaning their litter. They don’t need much grooming. A brush once every few days . They love their walkies around the complex. Some pats and cuddles of course please. I would feel more comfortable with someone who is confident and experienced with large cats as Lubeck is a fairly assertive boy. They enjoy meditation music and cat TV when left alone in the unit. They thrive on their routine and love a quiet environment.

House Tasks

Water plants, keep unit clean. Please provide me with photos and regular updates ( every couple of days at least ) as I will miss them both very much while away travelling. Thanks for taking the time to read all this . Bianca
