Hi! We live in beautiful Salamander Bay NSW, steps to Wanda beach.
Our home was built in 2023/24 and has theatre room, pool, kitchen, butler pantry and washer/dryer. A relaxing garden and gazebo plus veggie patch and citrus trees surround the property. There is ample off-road secure parking. You will sleep in our guest suite, which is our air b and b short term rental but will be inactive when we are away. You will have use of the whole downstairs of our home with all of its amenities. This includes swimming pool (not heated), large outdoor BBQ range on a large al fresco with electric blinds, lovely gazebo with comfortable seating, large TV with soundbar, safe off-street parking, and treats in the fridge! We are the battle axe block with wonderful neighbours who share our drive, and very quiet location steps to Wanda Beach.
We are a short walk from Bannisters resort, with its pub 'The Cheeky Dog', Thai, Chinese, Pizza, and Fish and Chip restaurants, 'The Village Grind' cafe, bottle shop, grocery store, butchers and bakers. It's all on your doorstep. Soldiers Point Bowling club is a 1km walk, with the Marina housing two outstanding restaurants a further 2kms away. All the shops and bars of Nelson and Shoal Bay are a short drive away, as is Salamander Bay Shopping Centre with Coles, Woolies and Kmart as its flagship stores. We are slap bang on a bus route (bus stop at the end of our road) with busses to take you all around this beautiful area of Port Stephens.
You will be taking care of our home and our two friendly cats who just love food and cuddles. They are strictly indoor cats so litter patrol and litter cleaning is part of this house sit. Unfortunately, no sitter pets are permitted as the cats have not had experience with other dogs or cats.
We are looking for a single or couple, possibly retired, with excellent references who can house sit for the entire period and book us in with confidence that the house sit will be carried out. Reliability and communication skills are essential.
If you're taking a break from a camper van, depending on the size, it will be safe parked on our drive.
House sit within the beauty and quiet of Port Stephens and enjoy a long break on the beach with no bills to pay, whilst caring for our home.
