About

Our home is on the north western side of the Balmain Peninsula, near Elkington Park and with a nice view over Spectacle and Snapper Islands. Technically a four bedroom home, it is only set up with two bedrooms. The other room are used as a second sitting room and as a dressing room/office. Built over two levels, it is spacious and airy with high ceilings, comfortable furnishings, a magical private garden and lots of art. We love food and cooking so the large kitchen is well equipped for entertaining. There are two stylish and spacious bathrooms with waterfall showers. There is an oval shaped freestanding bath in the main downstairs bathroom. The home is elevated on a sloping block and there are a dozen or so stairs from the road up to the front door (which is the ground level of the house).
We have two dogs - both small-medium sized labradoodles named Rosie and Dottie. Rosie is 8 and Dottie is 5 and they are very easy going dogs.

Pets & farm animals

Rosie and Dottie are two small to medium sized labradoodles. Rosie is 8 and about 16kg. She has inherited somewhat more of the labradore sensibility in her mix. Rosie loves her food and, while she loves walks ands chasing balls, she is also very happy lying around sleeping. She is very affectionate and a relaxed 'chill' dog. Dottie is 5 and seems to have a bit of spaniel in her labradoodle mix. She looks like a Lagotto with her cappucino colouring and is often assumed to be one. She is about 11-12 kg, extremely smart and watchful, a speedy high energy dog (the yang to Rosie's yin). Unlike Rosie, she is less motivated by food and can be a picky eater. They are happy, relaxed and affectionate dogs and are pretty well trained. There is a dog door and they can be left at home with the house locked when you go out.

House Tasks

We have two main requirements. One relates to the dogs - feeding, watering and walking them each day. (They like two walks but often only get one. Elkington Park is only a couple of minutes away.) The other requirement is keeping the garden watered. The garden is a curated jungle in a way! There is a green wall along the back of the property and a large collection of other plants and trees, including many orchids, staghorns and some bonsais. Depending on the weather and rainfall, twice weekly watering is required.
