OUR HOUSE: My husband and I live with our retired greyhound in a comfortable single storey, four bedroom, two bathroom house on a level treed block, in a quiet street, less than 2 km from the beach.

The house has three spacious living areas, a large TV, WiFi, a modern well appointed kitchen, gas heating in the living areas, portable electric heaters in the bedrooms for cool weather and ducted evaporative cooling plus ceiling fans for warm weather. The main guest bedroom has a king-size bed, the second guest bedroom has a queen-size bed.

There's a large undercover entertaining area outside the family room, which overlooks the pond and back lawn and garden area. The front and back gardens have lawns, shady trees and lush garden beds, which are watered by an automatic reticulation system.

Our home is 2 km from three local shopping centres, 3 km from the Warrick train station and 200 mtrs from the nearest bus stop.

PARKS: There are several great dog friendly parkland areas near us, including the Carine Open Space, Galston Park, Whittington Ave Park, Robin Park, Braden Park and a local small park about 250 mtrs from our house. Three local dog beaches are marked with yellow stars on the map photo below.

CAFES: There are many cafes (including dog friendly cafes) in our area - located along the coast as well as dotted through the local suburbs. You will discover lots of great coffees! See map screen shot below for the star marking "Little Bay" Cafe. It has Indian ocean views, is dog friendly & is on the way to our closest dog beaches.

SHOPS: There are three larger shopping malls within 4-6 km of our house - Karrinyup, Whitfords and Warwick and 3 smaller IGA shopping centres within 2 kms of our house.

CINEMAS: are located in the Warwick and the Whitfords shopping centres.

HILLARYS BOAT HARBOUR & SORRENTO QUAY: is a nearby place of interest, with lots of tourist shops, cafes and restaurants, as well as the impressive AQWA aquarium.

Pets & farm animals

DOG: Our dog Prince is a healthy 11 year old retired racing greyhound, with an affectionate, gentle and calm nature. He doesn't bark or whine and will sleep for 5-6 hours during the day, once he's had his 10-15 minute morning walk. He needs a walk each morning, as it keeps him settled and in his usual routine. He loves his walks and walks well on and off the lead. He enjoys meeting people and other dogs. He doesn't pull on the lead or lunge at other animals, so is easy to control.
He needs to be fed twice a day and to have fresh water available in his bowl during the day.

He enjoys a 5-10 minute walk around the block at the end of the day, usually just before dinner, but it's not essential every day.

FISH: The pond has goldfish which are used to being fed every second or third day.

House Tasks

OUR REQUIREMENTS:
- Keep the house and garden secure at all times.
- The letterbox will need checking and clearing every few days.
- Rubbish collection is every Monday morning, so bins are best put out on a Sunday night.
- Some pot plants and hanging baskets which are undercover will need to be watered during this house sit.
- Lawns will not need mowing.
