Small two-bedroom townhouse located just one block from the Maribyrnong River and a five-minute walk to Highpoint Shopping Centre. The home is easy to look after and has a lovely, low-maintenance backyard with a table and chairs—perfect for enjoying the cool afternoons under the natural shade of the trees. The second floor has air conditioning, and the ground floor stays naturally cool. All bills are covered.
We have an older, very sweet female cat who will likely enjoy spending time on your lap. She uses a pellet-based toilet system, so her care is minimal: simply remove waste when needed and change the liner once a week. We will take care of the pellets before leaving and after returning.
The backyard has an automatic self-watering irrigation system, so there is almost no garden work—just occasional watering of a few pots. We do ask that the house sitter visit our nearby veggie patch twice a week to water it (only a five-minute walk from the house, about three blocks away). You’re welcome to help yourself to any fresh produce while we’re away. We also have an extensive library, including a large collection of cookbooks—you’re very welcome to cook from them or enjoy any of the books during your stay.
Please note: the townhouse has multiple staircases, so it may not be suitable for someone with reduced mobility.
