Location: Marrickville - Close to multiple public transport options (metro, bus and light rail)

Pets: 2 cats and 2 dogs

We are looking for someone to care for our pets while we’re away from Sunday 24 May, returning Saturday 20 June.

Our two cats are brother and sister, very low maintenance and love humans. They have very loving, easygoing personalities and warm up quickly to new people. Both are gentle and very easy to care for, as long as they’re fed and have clean litter boxes they are happy.

We also have two dogs, our boy is a Toy Poodle (4kg), and our girl is a Russian Toy (3kg). Both are very sweet and love being with humans but our girl can be nervous and scared of strangers. She can take a little longer to warm up so she will need to be approached gently. They are extremely loving dogs who enjoy human company. Both are 100% toilet trained and have a routine they’re familiar with.

About you: single person or couple who are experienced sitters that work from home at least 2-3 days a week.

We are quiet homebodies so our pets are used to having us around. We aren’t home 24/7 of course so they are used to being left alone and are perfectly fine with that (within reason).

If you’re very social and expect to be out most of the time or like to have guests over frequently, unfortunately this won’t be the right fit.

I keep a very clean and tidy house, with four pets it’s important that this is maintained. We do a deep clean before we leave to ensure you walk into a spotless home. I wouldn’t expect anyone to spend hours cleaning, all we ask is that you maintain a clean home look after our place as if it were your own.

We’ve had not so great experiences with sitters in the past so I will be specific about our reasonable expectations around home maintenance.

Marrickville is a great suburb in the inner west with lots of lovely cafes, bars and restaurants. Enmore and Newtown are also close by along with Leichhardt, Broadway and of course the CBD.
