About

We have a 4 bedroom house in Hervey Bay and are looking for someone to stay in our house and look after our fur babies while we go away. We had someone lined up to house sit but they have pulled out, so we are desperately trying o find a replacement at short notice.

We have 6 animals to look after, but they are all very easy going and easy to care for. The details of the pets are:

2 dogs - a cavoodle and a sheltie. They are both elderly dogs - around 13-14 years old and very easy going girls. They don’t require walking as they both have arthritis, they just need feeding each day and someone to be around to give them a pat every now and then. One of the dogs needs a tablet every second day which is easy to hide in some cheese. The dogs are fed once a day at about 6pm. They have a combination of pre-prepared wet food (Lyka dog food) and kibble.

4 cats - we have 2 six year old Balinese boys who are very easy going. They love to hide and sleep and are very independent, but want to know that their people are around. We also have two 18 month old Siberian cats, one boy and one girl. These two are a little more adventurous and love to play. They still get fits of the zoomies which is always fun to watch. The cats all share a few bowls of dry food and they all graze at different times. We just make sure their bowls are filled up each day and they can eat when they get hungry. They have 2 automatic litter boxes, so even cleaning out the litter is very easy and infrequent.

Fish - we have a 4 foot fish tank with 20-30 fish in it. They just need some flake food each day.
All the cats and dogs can come and go outside through a dog door but they can’t get off the property. We don’t let them out the front of the house.

I hate the idea of putting my babies into a kennel, and don’t want them to feel abandoned when we go away, so I am looking for someone to stay in our house with our babies while we are away.
