I am looking for a housesitter for 3 and a bit weeks to look after my cat Rosie whilst I am overseas this July/August. She’s the best! Like to cuddle on the couch? You got it! Appreciate a hot water bottle under the covers to keep you warm during the cold winter nights? There’s no need, she will be there for you! Don’t mind company on the toilet?! She’s your gal!

I live in south Frankston, which is essentially the top part of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. It’s about an hour on the train to the city, a 15 minute drive from beautiful seaside Mornington, less than a 30 minute drive to all the wineries, a 15 minute walk to the beach, and a 5-10 minute drive to beautiful bushwalking trails in the local nature reserves. It’s a light-filled, cozy two bedroom home with a full office setup. The house is situated on a quiet street near a lovely park.

There are lots of books around the house for you to borrow, many with their corners nibbled on. Books are Rosie’s favourite things so sometimes they get little love bites if they are left lying around. You’ve been warned! There are TVs in the lounge and bedroom. There will probably be some type of streaming service on them, which you would be able to use.

The sit would suit someone who enjoys the quiet life. It’s a relatively easy sit with just Rosie, some indoor plants, and a small garden to look after. I would also love someone who is vegetarian or who would at least be okay with not cooking meat in the house.

Pets & farm animals

3-year-old Rosie. She will need general looking after: fed morning and night, litter tray cleaned out twice daily, and regular play time. As mentioned, she loves to snuggle so you need to be okay with having her in your personal space a lot! I am looking for someone who understands and loves cats and all their quirks.
