If you are looking for a reliable non-smoking healthy and happy couple to look after your home while you are away then consider us.
We rented our home and put it on the market and moved to Queensland. We were not sure which area we would like to live in so we decided to do some house sitting in the hopes that we will get more of an idea and perhaps find a happy street call our home. We are keen to be close to the Gold Coast to enjoy beach walks. Then we found out that we love house sitting and owners love us sitting for them and have decided to extend our time house sitting.
Rae is a school counsellor and is taking some time off while completing some study and writing at home. Gav is semi-retired and works from home a few hours a day three days a week. Between us we love all types of animals. Rae grew up with spaniels and boxers and both have had poodles and love the newer poodle cross such as labradoodles and Cavoodles.
We both love cats and have owned a couple of Persians and a Maine Coon, as well as refuge cats when our family was young and as we are empty-nesters are missing our fur babies (of course, we miss our human older children too, guys!). Rae just loves Ragdolls and her grandmother bred champion Siamese and Blue Pointers. We just want to spend some time with some fur friends again as we are not able to get any more animals until we are established and have not had any animals of our own for the past 5 years (our two daughters took their beloved cats with them to their homes and when our ancient poodle (Theodore Worthington!) and 16 year old lab cross (Blackie) died, we knew we were moving, so did not replace them).
We do not smoke and have a rare drink when dining out but are pretty much home bodies.
We are able to look after most pets - from chooks to horses but please no bats or snakes for us.
We would pass any police check (and by the time you read this most likely will have a full check to email to you) and Rae has a blue card and Gav's sales licences require him to have police checks ... We are clean and tidy - just an average couple.
Every one of our home owners has been extremely happy with our house sitting and most have asked us back to sit for them. We are reliable and like to look after owners who are traveling overseas as we know how important a reliable sitter is. If we give our word that we will be there, you can relax while preparing for your trip knowing that we will be there when the time comes.

You will be delighted to have Rae & Gav looking after your home. They have looked after my home long term on a couple of occasions and I would happily have them back here.
