My names Pearl, I'm from New Zealand and am fast approaching my 28th year. We love animals of all shapes, feathers, fur and scales. I have experience rehabilitating dogs and cats and always find I have a ton of love to give!We have house sat for at least 20 different home owners, including this website and https://www.housesitters.com.auWe always like to meet all house sits prior to, to see if we match. If we accept your house sit and you like us, you can expect a ton of love and genuine care, daily walk/runs depending on the breed (we will walk the corgis) and as many updates via social media as you can handle.You can expect to arrive home to your place just as you left it with all linen washed dried and folded, floors mopped swept vacuumed and probably some mail.We like to add all of our house sits on a social media platform’s so we can send pictures or via txt is just as good.Please do check out our references!Barry is a former manager at WINC Warehouse in Port Melbourne and currently working in the West. He owns a home in Mill Park (near Uni Hill). We rent this out so as to save in preparation for Africa. To Whom It May Concern: Pearl and Barry house sat my home over Christmas 2017, while also caring for my spoilt dogs and very fussy cat. They were kind, respectful and took excellent care while I was away. They updated me regularly about the pets and left the house in perfect condition. I have used Happy House Sitters many times, but these two were one of the few couples I asked to house sit again! Being new to Happy House Sitters, my partner and i were of course a little nervous leaving our naughty boisterous pups (and our house) to strangers. However as soon as we met Pearl and Barry our concerns disappeared. They are both genuine, kind and respectful people. They looked after our hose and our plants and kept everything safe while we gallivanted around overseas for 2 weeks. They communicated really well and kept in touch with us about how the dogs were going and asked questions about anything they were not sure about. Our dogs were well fed and exercised and I even think they were a little disappointed to see us when we got home as they'd had such a great time. So much better than dropping them off at an awful, cold kennel! Pearl and Barry were happy to liaise with my sister and a friend about different things and they really made the whole process so simple. They are even coming back this weekend as we are away again - it is nice to have people we feel comfortable with. Pearl and Barry looked after my beaglier, Billy and my burmese, Pip, for two weeks while I travelled for work. I knew from the moment they came for an initial visit that they were the right people for us. They are both very personable and down to earth, Billy gave them the once over then went to the couch and just watched them, Pip fell instantly in love with Barry and wouldnt leave him alone. During my travel I got updates from Pearl and pics of the fur kids and they understood the animals enough to let Billy into their bedroom (and on the bed) when they felt he wasn't quite settled. Of course then he was OK. I came home to a clean and tidy house and happy pets, which is the absolute best when you are a home/pet owner and have house/pet sitters in your home

Pearl and Barry were absolutely amazing took on and extra dog that had no manners. Never hesitated to look after our furry family of 5 then at short noticed excepted that our family had grown to 6. They found enough love to share. We came home to a beautiful clean home and happy pets. I would highly recommend this couple and hope they are available at our next trip away.thank you both. Pearl and Barry are a great pair to look after animals and house. They understand the Happy Housesitters protocols. As experienced sitters they knew what we (as first time users of the service) did not, and we learned the range of information they might need. They were prompt in reply to the ad. Prompt in arranging to call. They are real animal people and our dogs responded to them beautifully. The big corgi played straight away. The smaller, a rescue dog, made approaches to Pearl unexpectedly quickly. It felt safe to leave them, and the house, in this pair's care. They came early on the day we left; sent videos of them playing with the dogs at the river; told us of a limp problem with the smaller corgi ( and asked several times after they had left how she was). The house was left in immaculate condition. Even some dog cushions had been deconstructed and washed in a manner we had not done.. They are also very good at communication. When far away this is crucial. We continued feeling safe, came back to find the house perfect and the dogs happy. Thoroughly to be recommended. Allan

Pearl and Barry are a lovely, bright, genuine couple. They really cared about my dog and the house. They stayed in touch while I was away and went above and beyond what was required around the house. They are like my dog’s cool, young aunt and uncle. He had a great of time and was very well looked after. I would recommend them to anyone.
