Hello,
I'm Alicia, 30, about to commence a science degree at Flinders Uni and I work as a freelance writer/journalist. I am looking for a place to house sit while I get to know the Adelaide area and find a home of my own.
I have just moved back to Australia from Mexico where I lived for two years. Before that I travelled through eastern Europe & the Balkans, parts of SE Asia and I lived in Japan for almost two years, too. I love to explore new places, meet new people and I spend a lot of my free time hiking or walking around.
I have been around animals all my life, and while I think I'm more of a cat or echidna person, I do enjoy company from any four legged creature. I have looked after many houses and pets before, including two highly energetic boxers, two very silly dachshunds and two really needy terriers.
I am an avid walker/runner so am able to offer daily walks and exercise. I'm also an avid reader and will always have a spot on my lap for something to curl up on. I have some experience with pets who have special requirements (medication, diet, grooming...) so am confident that I can provide extra care if needed.
I was brought up to take my shoes off when I go to someones house and say thank you when I leave- so I will respect your home and look after it as I would my own. I am happy to do cleaning and gardening if required and bring in the mail, bins etc. I am neat and tidy and I value being in a healthy, happy home.
I usually work and study from home, so I'll be around quite a bit to offer lots of emotional support to your critter friends.
