My partner and I left our much loved cat Scoot in Kathleen's care whilst we headed overseas for a few weeks -given our utter devotion to said scoot we needed to feel confident he would be loved and not lonely - we are his devoted slaves. As soon as we met Kathleen I knew she had a real affinity and respect for animals - and their anxious owners .... She kindly met with us Twice so we could go over household idiosyncrasies and scoot schedules and didn't flinch when we asked if she'd mind feeding the local stray that lives around the corner - that too was a huge relief. Kathleen ensured we received regular updates and photos showing a very happy and relaxed Scoot obviously in safe hands - along with assurances Slim the stray cat was receiving her daily meal. We arrived home to an immaculate house - happy cat and the knowledge that when we get itchy feet hopefully Kathleen can come to our rescue. Oh, and she's just a lovely person to boot Happy for Kathleen to pass on our contact number should a verbal reference be required Janet, Tim, Scoot (and Slim the stray)

This is a reference for Kathleen Byers as a housesitter and dogsitter. Kathleen looked after our house and more importantly our large, attention-seeking Alaskan Malamute dog recently whilst we were away on vacation for 3 weeks. Kathleen was extremely punctual, reliable and responsive in her communications and let us know when she moved in and when she was moving out. She was attentive to all the notes given her regarding operations of the house and the dog. She updated us on occasion with our dog's activities and her walks with him. When we arrived home the house was in the same clean and tidy state in which we left it, and the dog looked even better as Kathleen had brushed him. He was obviously very well looked after in our absence, particularly because the nature of Kathleen's work means she can spend time with animals during the day and she has a natural affinity with dogs.
