6 STAR SERVICE...... We had never used housesitters before we found Jennifer and John on Happy House Sitters. We were travelling for four weeks over Christmas and needed our elderly dog and 3 cats cared for. Jennifer and John provided excellent communication before we left and came to our home to meet all the animals and to be shown around the house. They were able to take on board all the different medications our dog required and provide the varying meal plans to each animal. We left feeling very confident that they had everything under control. They kept us up to date with how things were going while we were away and answered our emails immediately. We could not have been more delighted with their care of our pets and our home. The garden was beautifully cared for (despite the extremely hot weather), the lawns mowed and the animals were all happy and healthy. Everything in the house was in perfect order (in fact better than we left it!). There was even milk and bread etc for our late night return which we were so grateful for after the long haul flight. We will definitely be asking John and Jennifer back for our next holiday and have let all our friends and family know about the exceptional service they provide. We would be more than happy to provide a verbal reference if anyone would like to call us.

We are extremely pleased to recommend John and Jennifer as house sitters and carers. After a previously negative experience we were somewhat anxious to leave our 2 dogs and cat while away but found John and Jennifer's communication and good humour left us worry free. Our home was left in excellent order and the animals were happy and well when we returned. The garden and all of our plants were also well, and Jennifer had even picked some of our roses and arranged them in the house. We have already locked in some future bookings and are looking forward to these occasions without any concern about how our pets will fare while we are away. John and Jennifer looked after our property for four weeks, during this time their primary role was to dote on our two year old dog. They did a stellar job maintaining his regular walks and also took him to the dog park twice a week. John and Jennifer were the perfect housesitters - they were easy to deal with, they asked what we wanted and did it. Other housesitter I have had seemed to need a lot of guidance, instruction and hand-holding. John and Jennifer were very practical people and able to take on the duties we needed without any hassles - they are great 'low maintenance' housesitters. When we got home the dog was happy and the house was clean. They were also considerate in making sure we have a few groceries to tide us over until we got over the jetlag. We would happily have them back and have already booked them in for our next trip. In summary, we found them to be: punctual, easy to deal, efficient, and easy to get on with. I cannot recommend Jennifer and John Phelps highly enough for any housesitting job, anywhere. Jennifer and John house sat for us for 15 days, taking great care of not only our house but our precious dogs (and chickens) also. Our expectations were exceeded on several fronts. Firstly they noticed one of our dogs was not behaving as she had been and they made the decision to take her to the vet. Their keen observation saved our dog from a much more uncomfortable and possible serious illness due to their fast action. We came home to exceptionally healthy and happy hounds. Secondly to our surprise and delight, we also came home to several 'odd jobs' that were completed - the types of jobs one always says one will get around to doing and doesn't. Our house was in better condition than when we left it. Finally, their consideration and kindness was again highlighted by some items left in the fridge for us. For example, fresh milk and a family sized pie (because who wants to cook after travelling for 26 hours straight). Thank you so much Jennifer and John. John & Jenniffer, cat/house sat for us for 6 weeks, whilst we took an overdue holiday. They happened to be the first people to respond to my request through Happy Housesitters. This was a new experienc for us and we were a little wary, but we spoke on the phone and made a time to get together. We knew straight away these were the people we wanted. We were able to keep in touch while we were away, not that we really needed to as we had exchanged sufficient information to make things run smoothly. Jennifer had asked all the right questions and made reminder notes for herself. Any fears we may have had were quickly removed with their warmth and friendly confidence. We arrived home to find everything in its place, home as clean and tidy as it was when we left. Our cat well fed and sufficiently pampered.
