About
I am a single, 63 year old, retired former public servant. I am financially secure, well educated and well travelled.
I try to run my life simple, peaceful and close to nature. I am a meditator and I practise yoga daily. I am very tidy and keep my surrounds clean and uncluttered. I clean the house I live in chemicals free as much as possible. I do nor smoke or drink, I do not gamble and I eat healthy and organic food.
I like gardening and growing my own vegetables. I find these activities very rewarding as well as therapeutic.
I like animals especially cats, which I find serene and independent and dogs for their fondness of humans. I enjoy relating and caring for them. In my younger days I spent time on farms in Poland and enjoyed a lot of interaction with other domesticated animals.
Following the sale of my last house in Suffolk Park in 2016 I have moved to house sitting. So far I have looked after a variety of properties and animals: dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, fish, turtles, lorrikeets, cockatiels, goats, cattle, sheep, horses, alpacas and donkeys.
House sitting has been a wonderful and rewarding experience. It is a great way to see new parts of Australia and to give the owners freedom to travel by taking good care of their places. All my references show that my hosts were very happy with my sits.
