Hello, I'm Jess.
I'm an active, single, positive 28-year old woman ready to take care of your home and pets. I have been housesitting for almost four years and have found it to be such a wonderful experience for both parties. I love the freedom it allows for myself, the help I am able to provide for others, and all of the beautiful people and animals I have met throughout.
I am a qualified accountant and spent four years working in a practice in Melbourne, until in 2016 I realised it wasn't the lifestyle I wanted. I chose to step out and create my own business providing bookkeeping services to small companies. The online nature of my business has allowed me to travel regularly, both within Australia and overseas, and to pursue personal / creative projects simultaneously.
I am a neat and tidy person and like the spaces around me to feel positive and welcoming. I find a clear space allows for peace, creativity and overall a smoother day! I will keep your home clean and would also be happy to do any work around the garden as I love Nature and have even studied permaculture design.
I have always loved animals, especially dogs, and grew up with a golden retriever and a french bulldog. I have a huge respect for all living beings, which is the reason I became vegan 5 years ago. I would love to have my own companion one day, however cannot make the commitment whilst I am travelling so often. Petsitting has provided me the opportunity to connect with animals and I look after any pets I am minding as if they are my own.
I do not drink or smoke. When not working, I mostly spend my days doing yoga/meditation, cycling, exploring Nature, and cooking.
