My name is Cecelia. I am a single, healthy ( no health issues ) fit and active retiree and really enjoying House Sitting! I will look after your home, garden and pets as you would yourself as I fully understand how important all are to their owners having been a home and pet owner myself. WHY I AM HOUSE SITTING: After selling my house in Brisbane early last year Iam taking the opportunity to travel parts of Australia before buying again down the distant track. House Sitting allows me to do this and to experience living like one of the locals BACKGROUND: I grew up on and continued to live on farms until my children all married then I moved to city living. My work from then on was as an Assistant Nurse in Aged Care Facilities and in Hospitals. More recently I was an In-Home Carer working with children with Cerebral Palsy, working with The Cerebral Palsy League of QLD. HOUSE SIT EXPERIENCE: In 2018 I completed two long term house/garden/pet sits ( 3 months and 5 months ) and 2 shorter sits. I am currently on a 3 month house/pet sit in Townsville QLD. HOME CARE: Being a house proud person your home and garden will be kept in tip-top condition - clean, neat and tidy. I understand how important it is to be security conscious, dependable, responsible and honest when caring for someones else's possessions. Maintenance issues are not a problem - I am accustomed to dealing with them. Gardening is my favourite hobby and I maintained my own large garden myself - including using a push mower - so am very active. . PET EXPERIENCE: Pets of many varieties have always been part of my life. Having grown up with pets of all kinds, and having a pet dog and cat until recently I completely understand their emotional needs as well as physical needs.. I also have a recently expired Blue Card from my work with The Cerebral Palsy League. A Blue Card requires a Police Clearance. REVIEWS (1) Rating: 5.0 Cecelia looked after our house and two cats for about five months from July to December 2018. We could not be happier - the cats are healthy and happy, the house is cleaner than we left it, and the garden is in great shape. Above and beyond our expectations Cecelia nursed one of our cats back to health after he had an accident on a neighbor's property and hurt his leg severely; and again after he got a bad tick bite. Cecelia kept us up to date with what was happening at home by email, text and phone. We highly recommend Cecelia for house sitting. She is highly competent, calm and totally lovely.
