Mid-20s couple hoping to look after some animals, gardens or plants, and homes as a temporary alternative to renting. We're experienced housemates, renters, and travelers, so we respect the importance of home and would take good care of yours. James works full time as a sustainability consultant in the city and loves to garden. Talia teaches yoga and writes literature study guides for a living, so has a flexible schedule, and spent her childhood cat- and dog-sitting around her neighborhood. Nothing but praise for this young couple. They left the house and yard spotless, taught the dog some manners and the chooks and pigeons were well cared for. Could not recommend them more highly.

We were very pleased that Talia Rothstein and James O'Donnell were able to house-sit for us for 4 weeks. They are courteous, punctual, organised, reliable, trustworthy and great at communicating. They looked after our pets - a border collie, a cat and 2 turtles - as if they were their own. The pets were calm and content when we returned, and the house was very tidy. We also appreciated the updates that Talia and James sent while we were away, which reassured us that everything was going smoothly. Happy House Sitters is a great service, and we definitely recommend Talia and James.

James was a fantastic house sitter for us while we were away for two weeks in June. Our cat was well looked after, even though he (and we) can be a little high maintenance at times! James kept us in the loop of his and Percy's activities while we were away with photos and messages, which we really appreciated. Our house was in an impeccable clean state, with the bed made with clean sheets and everything! James was very respectful of our house and pets, and very trustworthy. James had even gone to the lengths of leaving us a couple of small treats to welcome us home. We highly recommend James (and I'm sure Talia would be equally as wonderful, although we didn't get the opportunity to meet her this time).
