The Empty Nesters
Now that we have retired, and our kids have scatter to as far afield as Europe, we are bravely looking forward to a freer lifestyle. Though we do miss Coco, our recently departed Maltese Terrier x Shih Tzu, and Zutch the Bernese Mountain super Dog! So being able to care for your best friend would be an absolute pleasure. We have also owned cats, chickens, ducks, rabbits and sheep, as well as being host to a resident platypus and many wild birds.
We have owned several homes over the years, including a 5ha hobby farm in Tasmania, and have had cause to use house sitters ourselves ; with mixed results. So, we know what it’s like to trust your home and beloved pets to others while you are away. We are a houseproud couple, and when we had to be away, we expected to return to a house in same order as it was left. Therefore, Peter and I intend to extend to you the same courtesy to you after we have been entrusted with minding your home.
As a couple, you can be assured that both inside and out will be taken cared of and your pets/live stock will receive ample love and attention. We also want to reassure you that, having travelled extensively and experienced flight delays and cancelations etc., if for some reason you are delayed and can’t make it back on time, we will never abandon your home and pets. If we have another commitment elsewhere, I will stay on for as long as needed and Peter will go ahead of me. All I would ask is for a lift to the nearest railway or bus station on your return.
Having just recently embarked on our change of lifestyle, we have yet to build a reference portfolio on housesitting, however, during our travels we have been awarded a five-star rating by the hosts on Airbnb in all the categories they rate their guests. Similarly, our application for reports from the NSW Police have yet to be returned but feel assured that within 2 to 3 weeks we will have them available for your inspection.
With the maturity and experience that comes from raising a family along with various pets, you can be assured that if any problem did arise while you were away, it will be dealt with in a calm and sensible manner.
