My home is 3 houses from the water/beach and is still being renovated. So the ambience is not for everybody. I find it quite comfortable though. It has a Working kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. All the main things. There is still no fencing so you would not be able to have a pet that needs a yard.
I have one little cat who is my focus for having a house sitter. She is quite affectionate and loves company. She has a cat door and comes and goes as she pleases.
