We have a 4 bedroom low-set home with veggie gardens, fruit trees and a swimming pool in the suburb of Petrie. The stove and cooktop is gas and we have a washing machine only (dry on the clothesline out back). The house is close to public transportation. The house is fully fenced in a quiet court close to several parks.
Pets & farm animals
Rex is a 12 year old German / Belgium Shepherd. He likes walks to the park, swimming in the pool and company. He also loves his food! He gets a raw food diet which may include bones for breakfast and a raw meal for dinner. Rex is getting older and his body gets sore so he needs care not to over excite his poor bones. He does have arthritis and occasionally gets a dose of medicine to help his pain added to his food.
We also have a guinea pig who will need her hutch moved daily (so she doesn't kill the grass), veggies and fresh water.
We have chickens and ducks. They will need eggs collected daily, clean water daily, fresh scraps and pellet / seed food when needed. If the hutch gets too dirty while we are away we ask that it be cleaned out (only the hutch, not the run) and fresh mulch put in.
House Tasks
Collect mail, water garden (all veggies and fruit trees), walk and feed Rex, feed guinea pigs, chickens and ducks, possibly take out the rubbish bins or bring them back in to carport.
