Hello - Nick and I are hoping to find a kind and caring non-smoking couple (without their own pets ) and preferably vaccinated to take care of our home, but more importantly care for our 5 year old Cavoodle, Teddy and our 1 year old golden retriever Tilly for 3 weeks, whilst we travel to the UK for a long awaited holiday. They love playing with soft toys, Tilly especially and adore cuddles, walks and a lot of fuss. Tilly is a large dog (app 30kg) so is quite strong if she decides to pull on her walk (she is improving every day with her walking), but if she gets overexcited greeting someone new to the house, or sees a cyclist, scooter or other dogs/birds out on her walk and needs to be controlled she is pretty strong, so this sit may be more suited to a couple rather than a person alone.
They both love a daily walk on leash locally or off leash at the dog park (8 mins drive), They are both used to company during the day as both my husband and I work from home. It would be ok if you were not home with them all day every day, but its preferable they see you during the day at least some of the week and most evenings. They do just really love being around humans. As long as they get food, fuss, snuggles and a walk they are pretty content. If you are retired or have a job where you can work remotely that would be a positive.
Our home is in a quiet and safe cul de sac with friendly neighbours, only 3 mins walk to a large shopping centre with cinema and restaurants. We are 20 mins drive from the cafes, theatres, restaurants and beaches of Newcastle and 30 mins drive from the beautiful vineyards of the Hunter Valley. Historic Morpeth is only 10 mins away and the Port Stephens' stunning beaches are 45 min drive. Public transport is good too, with regular buses and trains locally.

We have a brick 4 bed 2 storey air conditioned home that just needs to be kept clean and tidy and a few plants in beds and pots outside that will require watering once or twice a week if it hasn't rained much. We have a medium sized yard with a pool (no maintenance required). It would be helpful if you were able to mow the back lawn (we have a lawn guy for the front) but its not a big problem if it is not mown for the time we are away. Both dogs are indoor dogs and they sleep downstairs in the kitchen/hallway at night. Ted does not shed, but Tilly being a golden retriever, will share her fluff with you at every opportunity, so we have a good Dyson and a lot of lint rollers around the place!! Both dogs are fully vaccinated and in good health. We hope to hear from you soon :-)
