Pets & farm animals

We have three fur babies. Dexter is 2 years old, Lab x Kelpie. He is a lovely, affectionate boy. We adopted Dexter and he had not been socialised so he is a bit reactive around other animals. NOT aggressive - super excited he just wants to say hello. As soon as he gets to another doggy friend is fine, calm, happy and walks on. Twiggy is 1, Kelpie x many other She is great on a lead, follows her brothers lead. She can be a bit anxious and nervous at times and needs some gentle encouragement. Monkey - 6 year old inside upstairs cat. Monkey is just a beautiful, perfect girl. She will sleep with you, loves strokes and a good brush..

House Tasks

- Wake up time is approx 7:15 - 7:45am in our house. Monkey needs breakfast, cuddles, clean litter tray, water, biscuits, open balcony door and curtains. - Dexter and Twiggy will be so excited to go for their walk. We put them on leads and walk them around the property 3 - 4 times followed by a game of fetch or rope tug. - Breakfast time for the dogs is straight after their walk. All their food is homemade. Every night and morning just take one ziplock bag out of the freezer to defrost. In the morning out defrosted food in a bowl and microwave for 1 minute. - Dexter gets 1 and 1/4 cups of biscuits in the morning with 2/3rds of the wet food. Twiggy gets 1 cup of biscuits with the remaining wet food. Mix well. - Our dogs are not fast eaters and will pick at their food during the day. Sometimes by dinner there is still a little left over...this is normal. - Dogs also have a multi vitamin in the morning. - Fill up water bowl. - By this time the dogs are snoozy and the apart from toilet breaks/1 - 2 laps around the property and little game of tug the day is yours. - Both dogs are fine to be left at home by themselves. We usually leave them with a beef hoof each. There are also some interactive toys we set up for them. - Another walk at around 5pm and dinner time (repeat breakfast except Dexter gets 1 1/2 cups if biscuits and no more multi vitamins.) - Dogs then need a walk before bed so they can go to the toilet. We walk them around the drive way with a head torch. The dogs sleep on the sofa in the living room and usually sleep through. Dexter sometimes barks a little in the night when he hears possums but this is not ongoing and he only barks a couple of times and then stops. - Monkey is an inside upstairs cat...As she has got older she has found that living in our bedroom is where she likes to be. Away from the dogs in the quiet. She likes to sleep with you at night. We check on her throughout the day,...altough she may be hiding and we give her lots of cuddles and a brush morning and night.. The fan is left on for her all day, she has her own private balcony, cat tower and lots of toys. She is not big toy lover but occasionally loves them. We feed monkey morning and at night around 5pm...same as dogs. We give her a fresh bowl with 1 pouch of wet food, she always has biscuits topped up, water topped up and we clean out her litter tray morning and night. We will make sure that there is enough food, biscuits and treats for all the animals. They are all lovely, friendly fur animals. Twiggy although 1 does have the occasional accident. We are in the process of crate training her but this is a work in progress. She sometimes struggles to hold it during the night and if she gets nervous she occasionally has a nervous wee. She does go to the toilet every time she is taken out side. It is just at night that she struggles. - Keep the house neat and Tidy and in the same state that we left it in. - Return the house as we left - Enjoy the space, peace and our fur babies.
