we live in a quiet court in the suburb of Rasmussen in Townsville and will be overseas from approximately 12/12/22 to 8/1/23. We have two dogs and a cat and are looking for someone to love and care for them in our home while we are away.
Pets & farm animals
Jaffa is a shy cat and will probably hide for the first few days while your there. If he feels like it he goes outside for a morning run but otherwise he stays inside. We don’t let him out after around 2.30pm even though he would like to go as he’s not always keen on coming back after dark. Digger is a 4 year old Labrador who loves ball games in the afternoons. He stays outside most of the day but likes to come in at night while we watch tv then he sleeps outside. He will probably bark at you until he knows the routine and that you will bring food (his favourite thing lol). We feed the dogs separately digger outside browser inside. Browser is a 1 year old labradoodle full of energy and loves being with people. He hasn’t quite yet learnt not to touch frogs and toads (not that we get a lot) so he stays inside from dusk and we take him out on a lead to pee after tea and before bed. He will probably sleep on the bed with you as he loves the company.
House Tasks
We have a decent size back yard/ garden, the lawns are on automatic sprinkler timers twice a week and the flowers/plants are on a sprinkler system that you turn on when needed
