NB Unfortunately, we need to relist our house as our selected sitter is now unable to undertake our housesit.

Our solid brick Edwardian home is in Coburg/Brunswick. It is close to 3 forms of public transport and there is space for off street parking for one car. There are two designated bedrooms, a large front sitting room, study, separate lounge and kitchen/dining area. There are two bathrooms (the second one is being renovated so only the toilet and basin can be used in that one at the moment). The kitchen has gas facilities and a duo dishwasher. There is central gas heating.
There are lawns and gardens at the front and back, as well as a vegetable garden. There is a water tank in the backyard as well as a BBQ and outdoor dining.
There is internet access if required.

Your responsibilities:
Garden - to water, mulch & weed the garden if needed and mow the lawns. As this will be at the beginning of spring, this won't require much attention.
Mail - to collect mail, sort & inform us of any bills; dispose of junk mail
Gas & electricity - as you are caring for our dog, we will pay the electricity and gas bills, assuming that the gas central heating is used sparingly at this time of year.
Telephone - to pay for telephone calls
Rubbish - to ensure that rubbish bins are placed on the kerbside, to be emptied regularly
Cleaning - to vacuum carpets & clean hard floor surfaces regularly; dust surfaces regularly
Cars - to run/charge our cars every couple of weeks so that batteries don't go flat

We would prefer a couple or single person and no pet, as it may not be compatible with our dog.
Someone who is at home much of the time would be our ideal sitter as our dog is used to having someone around much of the time.

References required, and a police check if available.

Pets & farm animals

The most important aspect of our housesit it to look after our dog. We have a delightful 4 year old Cocker Spaniel, Juno, who is an inside/outside dog. She will need to be walked each day and brushed every second day, and her poo picked up! She will also need some extra grooming every fortnight & possibly a bath over this time period. She is obedience trained, well socialised and walks well on lead.
