We live in Mooreville (9km out of Burnie) and are planning to go interstate for 5 weeks with some friends. We live on 15 acres (so plenty of room for your van if you have one) but we don't have any stock of our own at present, however a neighbour runs his cattle across the block every so often when he needs the feed or our block gets a bit grassy, so no farm animals to look after.

We have lovely views to the ocean and to the mountains as our house is built on top of a hill. As we live outside of town there is no public transport so you would need your own vehicle.

We have 2 cats, 1 is 4 years old, timid but very friendly once she realises you are the source of all food. The other is going on for 14 and a bit grumpy - she doesn't like the younger one but will trail you wherever you go outside and sit pretty close to you inside.

We have a fairly large but easy care garden - lots of veggies and about 6 fruit trees. At this time of year there is very little maintenance required. We have a ride on mower to take care of the grass (lawn would be a polite term as we're constantly battling weeds from the paddocks) however if the thought of a ride on was too intimidating we also have a smaller petrol mower or can arrange for someone to come in and mow when necessary.

We leave on 10th July and return on 15th August. Do you think these dates would fit in for you?
