Lockyer Valley Qld – We are planning a trip from 17 October 2017 to 7 November 2017 and require a sitter for our 1.5 acre rural residential property situated at Regency Downs. We have a low set brick home with 1 cat, 4 chooks and an aviary of birds. We also have many trees and some gardens.There is a small Woollies shopping centre 2 km from the house, a service station/eateries complex, doctor’s surgeries medical services and dentists. We are about 8 km from Laidley and 17 km from Gatton the business hub of the area with banks, hospital etc. We would prefer a couple with knowledge of managing this type of property.Requirements would be to look after the house keeping it clean and tidy, watering our potted plants and gardens, using ride-on mower to mow any grass, collecting any mail from the letterbox and putting aside for our return, feeding the cat and our feathered friends.
Pets & farm animals
The cat is 10 years old and is a neutered female. She loves a cuddle but will sit next to you rather than sit on your lap. The chooks are in a large pen and provide eggs irregularly. The birds are mostly of the parrot family and are kept in a large aviary.
House Tasks
collect mail from our letter box and keep it aside for us. feed the cat twice a day feed and water chooks and birds as required water gardens/trees as required (more details can be supplied) use ride on mower to mow the yard in case of thunderstorms be aware that you may lose power (and be prepared if they are forecast) as the water for the house is pumped by an electric pump. If very heavy rain occurs at the one time you may need to check the filters from the roof to downpipe and remove them to unclog them.
