Commencing soon

We are looking for a pet and house sitter for just under a week while we travel to Sydney to celebrate a 50th.
Our pets are a female Jack Russell, Xena, friendly, affectionate, loves a walk, and is an excellent alarm system.
Two Tabby grey cats, Crispin and Daneres. Cris is fully grown, a gentle giant, who secretly enjoys keeping the feral rabbit population under control. Dane is not yet a year old, she gives the best leg rubs and enjoys toying with mice. Both of them are invaluable on our 6 acres.
Both cats enjoy sleeping on our bed but as cats do they will do as they please.
Both respond to a shaker and get locked inside by 8.30 latest.
Maddy is our horse, she loves a brush but doesn’t expect one, she will be your best friend for the price of three carrots or apples a day.
We also have 6 young Hereford cows, very easy they just need their water troughs filled daily.
Our place is about 15 minutes west of Ballarat. Walking distance to Lake Burrumbeet, great for walks and some fresh water fishing.
Ballarat, in Central Victoria is a thriving city established during the Gold Rush in the 1850’s . Full of beautiful architecture and Australian History.
Home to Sovereign Hill, Cryall Castle, and M.A.D.E. Museum of Australian Democracy. Her Majesty’s Theatre and The Regent Cinema.
Ballarat also has a thriving Foodie Scene and some excellent Cafes and Bars.
Our place is far enough from town to be incredibly peaceful, it is also a lovely drive through The Arch of Victory and along Remembrance Drive to get here, the longest commemorative tree planting for the First World War, in fact only about one kilometre further is the recently completed Commemorative Bridge over the Western Highway, a beautiful piece of artistic engineering.
We provide Air Conditioning or Fireplace, and also Foxtel.
We are open for sitters to stay a bit longer, before we leave or after we return, if that is what suits.
